In the City - Host Stamp Set

Host Stamp Set Feature - In the City

There is so much excitement whenever a seasonal catalogue is released, it's easy to forget about the Annual Catalogue.

I'm going back to my favourite Host Stamp Set from the Annual Catalogue - In The City.
This set is a builder set, which features gorgeous artist-drawn outline stamps and the matching "fill" stamps, making colouring quick and easy. Yes, please!

There are 60 photopolymer stamps in this set, so there are LOTS of fantastic images to choose from.

I went with three simple designs today, which could be used for pretty much any occasion.

The first one, as you can see, uses a simple Starbust Circle Punch paired with a 2" Circle Punch. There are sooooo many combinations you could use with this - for loads of other stamp sets too!

'

You can earn this stamp set by hosting your own Stampin' Up! workshop, or simply spending $250+ on your order.

Host Rewards not only give you bonus dollars to spend within your order, they also give you exclusive access to the Host Stamp Sets - which are heavily discounted sets only available to Hosts.

Note: Don't use my Host Code if your order is over $250, as you become the Host and receive the benefits and rewards to spend.

Remember that during Sale-A-Bration, you can earn even more Stampin' Rewards!

Why not spend this weekend going through the Annual Catalogue - or your existing craft cupboard and challenging yourself to use a set?

Time-Saver Tip

Happy Monday!

Seeing as everyone is busy at the start of the week, I thought it was a great time to share a Time-Saver Tip.

As beautiful as colouring is, sometimes I just don't have time to hand colour my individual projects, especially when mass producing for say, a large set, or customer thank you cards.

The Amazing You Stamp Set which is available to earn for free with Sale-A-Bration has a gorgeous flower image stamp in the set.

It's stunning on it's own, but does well with a little extra tonal colour splash in the centre.

Time-Saver Tip!

Using the centre flower stamp from the Blooms and Wishes Stamp Set (from the 2017/2018 Annual Catalogue, p. 139) in a softer colour, you can either simgle or double stamp to add some extra colour to the Amazing You flower.

You should end up with something like this...

You could also experiment with colour combinations, rather than using similar tones, which I'm sure would look amazing too!

Amazing You Colour Theory Notepads

Today, I wanted to show you a beautiful covered notepad project using the free Amazing You Sale-A-Bration Stamp Set.

These ones here are a few I made to go out to my VIP customers who shop with me using the Host Code.

I LOVE the colour palette of the "Color Theory" Designer Series Paper stack. So when I saw those gorgeous Adhesive-Backed Tutti-frutti Sequins, I  knew I wanted to try them out together.

While I've used this design as notepad covers, these would also make a fantastic set of notecards!

Note the gorgeous Clear Wink of Stella which I used on the words, flower and a few of the leaves. It's hard to pick up in photographs, but looks amazing in person. And of course - sequins!

The notepads are from my local stationery store and measure 7.5cm x 12cm.

(The principle is to simply mat your notepad. The main cardstock cover needs to be the exact width of your notepad. The length should add an extra couple of cm to stick on the back of the notepad.

Example:
Notepad = 7.5cm(wide)  x 12cm (long)
Cardstock cover = 7.5cm x 15cm

Once you have a cardstock cover, you can decorate any way you like. That's it!

Instructions:

Notepad Cover Materials:

Cardstock cover - 14.85cm x 7.5cm
(The 14.85cm measurement is so you can use an A4 sheet of cardstock)

Designer Series Paper - 11.5cm x 7cm

Whisper White Cardstock Panel - 9cm x 6cm

You will have enough scrap cardstock from your leftover pieces for the extra scallop punch sentiment!

Tutti-Frutti Adhesive Backed Sequins and Sequin love!

Now, I love sequins. What's not to love?! They're beautifully colourful and sparkly and add instant embellishment and dimension to your project.

Sequins are also a great value embellishment, as you always get loads in a pack, stretching your craft budget even further.

What I don't love about sequins is gluing them. They can be fiddly at times and I usually end up with more glue on my fingers than the sequins.

Enter - Adhesive Backed sequins! Ta-Da!

(applause)

These are one of my favourite accessories in the new Occasions Catalogue.

Each sequin is individually adhered with its own pre-attached mini-glue dot.

There are 250 sequins in each pack - 50 in each of the 5 gorgeous jewel colours.

When you calculate the cost of buying your own glue dots, then work out how long it would take you to adhere 250 sequins one by one to each glue dot, I think these are fantastic value!

They come in five beautiful, bright colours that co-ordinate with not only the Tutti-Frutti suite, but so many others.

Sneek peek at tomorrow's project using the Tutti-Frutti Sequins.
Tomorrow's project uses both the Adhesive Backed sequins and the loose Metallic and Iridescent sequins. I love both types of sequins and loose ones are great for multiple projects such as shaker cards, however for this project, the adhesive-backed ones were a big time saver!

I still love sequins though...

Here is a full list of the gorgeous sequin products Stampin' Up! has currently available.

Heartfelt Blooms Notecard Set

I have another quick and easy notecard set for you today.

Time: Under an hour (for a full set of 20 Notecards and Envelopes)

I'm using one of the gorgeous Sale-A-Bration stamp sets Heartfelt Blooms.

Making a card like this, my thoughts were of keeping the card single layer. When I'm wanting to send wishes and thoughts to someone, especially if times may be difficult or sorrowful, I sometimes prefer to keep the card clean and simple.

The stamp set is part of Stampin' Up's new line of Distinktive stamp sets. The design team have used a special technique designed to capture amazing detail. Impress your card recipient with the beauty of just one quick stamp.

You can see the actual rubber stamp here.

Notice how the ink finds all the incredible detail in the rubber stamp.

A beautiful impression which stamps an incredible amount of detail for single-step stamping.

This set is already proving extremely popular and can be earned for free with any $90 purchase
